Now Hiring: Spa Front Desk & Client Experience Manager

Location: Garden City, ID (Boise area)

Employment: Full-Time, including weekends.

Pay Rate: $20.00 to $28.00 per hour + Commission + Annual Bonus + Paid Time Off (PTO)

EN Spa is a boutique massage and esthetics spa focused on creating an exceptional, highly personalized experience for our clients. We are looking for a warm, capable and emotionally steady person to take ownership of our front desk and day-to-day client experience.

This is not a traditional receptionist position.

The person we're looking for is someone who enjoys being at the center of a busy service environment—welcoming clients, solving problems, supporting practitioners, keeping rooms and supplies ready, answering phones and messages, managing the schedule, and calmly adjusting when the day doesn't go according to plan.

For the right person, we expect this position to grow beyond front desk responsibilities and into a larger spa operations management role.

Who Will Thrive in This Role

You may be a strong fit if you are the person others naturally rely on when things get busy.

You remain friendly and composed when several things need attention at once. You can help an anxious or frustrated client without becoming flustered yourself. You notice what needs to be done without always waiting to be asked.

You're outgoing enough to make clients feel genuinely welcome, but mature enough to maintain professional boundaries with coworkers. You enjoy being part of a team and are willing to jump in wherever needed—from helping solve a scheduling problem to turning over a treatment room.

Experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment such as restaurants, hospitality, hotels, upscale retail, medical offices or other service businesses is particularly valuable.

Previous spa experience is welcome, but it is not required.

What You'll Be Responsible For

You'll help oversee the daily client experience and operational flow of the spa, including:

  • Warmly greeting clients and creating a calm, welcoming atmosphere

  • Answering phone calls, texts and client questions

  • Scheduling, rescheduling and managing appointments

  • Checking clients in and out and accurately processing payments

  • Explaining services, memberships, promotions and spa policies

  • Helping clients choose appropriate services and appointment times

  • Monitoring the day's schedule and anticipating potential problems

  • Handling schedule changes, late arrivals and other real-time issues calmly

  • Resolving routine client concerns with empathy and good judgment

  • Supporting massage therapists and estheticians throughout the day

  • Preparing, cleaning and turning over treatment rooms as needed

  • Restocking linens, supplies and retail areas

  • Moving between our upstairs and downstairs spa suites throughout the shift

  • Helping maintain an exceptionally clean, organized and professional environment

  • Learning and confidently using our scheduling, POS, communication and administrative systems

  • Identifying operational problems and helping develop better ways of doing things

As you become established in the role, responsibilities may expand into training, inventory, operational procedures, client-service standards, staff coordination and other areas of spa operations.

The Qualities We're Looking For

More than a specific résumé, we're looking for the right combination of temperament, judgment and work ethic.

  • Calm under pressure. A changing schedule, ringing phone and unhappy client don’t derail you. You assess what matters most and start solving problems.

  • Warm and genuinely service-oriented. You enjoy interacting with people and naturally want clients to feel cared for.

  • Highly observant. You notice the client waiting at the desk, the treatment room that isn’t ready, the supplies running low or the scheduling conflict developing before someone has to point it out.

  • Comfortable taking ownership. Your instinct is to ask, “What needs to happen?” rather than “Whose responsibility is this?”

  • An excellent task-switcher. You can handle an interruption, solve the immediate problem and reliably return to what you were doing.

  • Emotionally mature. You maintain professional boundaries, stay out of workplace gossip and don’t contribute to interpersonal drama.

  • Warm but appropriately assertive. You can be kind without being passive and can respectfully address a problem when something needs to be handled.

  • Team-minded. You understand that great client experiences happen when the entire spa works together.

  • Comfortable with technology. You don’t need to know our systems already, but you should learn new software quickly and be comfortable working with scheduling systems, POS software, texting, email and everyday computer applications.

  • Physically comfortable with an active workday. This is not a sit-at-a-desk-all-day position. The role involves frequent walking and standing, regularly moving between upstairs and downstairs suites, carrying linens and supplies, cleaning and restocking, and quickly preparing treatment rooms.

This Position Is Probably Not the Right Fit If...

We want candidates to understand the job before applying. This role may not be a good fit if you:

  • Prefer a quiet front desk position with long periods of downtime

  • Become easily overwhelmed when priorities suddenly change

  • Strongly prefer completing one task at a time without interruption

  • Dislike answering phones or handling difficult customer conversations

  • Need detailed direction before taking action

  • Don’t enjoy cleaning, stocking or other hands-on operational work

  • Prefer working independently rather than supporting a team

  • Enjoy workplace gossip or frequently become involved in coworker conflicts

This position is also intended for someone interested in building their career in client experience, hospitality, administration or spa operations. It is not designed as a pathway into becoming an esthetician or massage therapist.

Growth Opportunity

We are specifically interested in finding someone who could grow with EN Spa. Initially, success means becoming exceptionally good at running the client experience and daily front-desk operation. Over time, the right person may take increasing ownership of areas such as:

  • Front desk systems and procedures

  • Inventory and supply management

  • Client-service standards

  • Staff onboarding and training

  • Operational problem-solving

  • Facility and vendor coordination

  • Scheduling and coverage

  • Client recovery and service issues

  • Day-to-day spa operations

Our goal is to find someone who can eventually help make the spa operate better—not simply someone who can staff the front desk.

What Success Looks Like

At the end of a successful day, clients felt welcomed, practitioners were supported, rooms were ready, problems were handled, the spa remained organized, and the owners didn't have to step in to solve issues that could reasonably have been handled on-site.

If you're someone who gets satisfaction from creating that kind of environment, we'd like to meet you.

To Apply

Please submit your résumé to [email protected] along with a brief response telling us about a time you were responsible for keeping things running smoothly in a busy customer-service environment. What was happening, and what did you personally do?
